MasterNap

MasterNap is a file sharing network that allows users to connect to servers and share files such as mp3's and stuff. This is the best network around at the moment as there is no flooding and lam0rs about to piss you off. The mod⁺ are all pretty friendly and they are always there to help if you come into trouble using the network. This is why i decided to set up residency here over other networks. There is also a large number of files to download as there is always alot of users to browse. Since the networks launch in 2001 it has gone from strength to strength as new servers are appearing and its userbase is expanding.

You will find me on MasterNap alot and i use the name originalhandy all the time and if you have any questions or need help just ask me. Below i will list all the servers with the Elites that own it, i will keep this up to date as and when server addy's and Elites change. If you want to see what servers are up at the moment visit Napigator, this gives up to date listing of servers that are up.

The two best programmes for connecting to the MasterNap servers are WinMx and TekNap, both of which i use myself. WinMx is the easiest of the two to use as it is a windows based programme. It is laid out in such a way that is quite similar to the old Napster programme. To enter servers all you have to do is click on the Servers tab at the top of the screen and where it has High Capacity and Low Capacity Networks, just enter the server addy there. TekNap is a bit more difficult to use and is command based, although if you take the time to learn how to use the programme you will find that it is alot better. MasterNap has finally gone IRC, you can log onto the MasterNap IRC server at irc.0wnz.theriaa.org:6767 Here you can log onto it and chat in the #MasterNap room for some alternative MasterNap chat. If you need help on programmes like Linux or TekNap why not log into the #Linux and #TekNap channels.

If you ever needed somewhere to test your general knowledge, then #Trivia is definately the place to do it. With over 3500 questions (and ever expanding) there is certainly more than enough to help you pass the time. Not only can you spend hours upon hours answering questions, but you can submit your own questions to test other people. To submit your own question simply type /msg MasterNap addq "question" "answer". Here is an example how to do it. /msg MasterNap addq "Who is the webmaster of http://originalhandy.masternap.net" "originalhandy".
